Mark Allen - 'Putting together an Audio Visual Competition'

Another excellent evening with Mark Allen as our guest speaker. He covered AV's (audio visual presentations). In a very useful and practical way Mark started from scratch using a jumbled collection of photos (thanks to Linda H for her collection from a cycle to Skye) and showed a step by step way of using Pictures to exe to create an amazing av presentation with fading transitions and an audio soundtrack within the first hour.

After tea we had a lively Q&A session which showed the high level of interest he created and I have no doubt there will be a lot more people attending and perhaps even entering, next February's AV Festival.

Club/NIPA Competition Round 1
Subject: 'Open'

First annual competition night and some great photographs on display. Thanks to our own Leslie and Peter for stepping in and judging at the last minute. We missed our strict timekeeper so it was all a bit of a rush at the end so all the winners should give themselves a round of applause! Special congratulations to David Caughers with two placed prints in his first club competition. Special thanks to Cathy Paraskevas for stepping into the difficult and pressured counting role.
